Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 until Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet neighborhood located on the West Island, which is an island in Montreal. The West Island has a lot of different communities. Many who've never heard of it often mistake it for a separate island facing west. Amanda Brugel grew up on the West Island, and it is frequently referred to as her birthplace. However, she only was there for a brief time. Brugel was raised in Courtice located just outside of Oshawa. In her early years she hoped to become the next big thing in her career, but a sudden expansion of her body made it impossible. She admitted in an article that was published in the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall and wears heels. After I surpassed my male counterparts at that point, I gave up. The Brugel is one of the former dancers who shifted into acting. The teacher she had at high school was the one who pushed her to take the next step. Her teacher encouraged her to try out to play the character of Anne in the school's annual production. It was her choice to take on the principal part in Anne of Green Gables after she auditioned for. It led to an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and graduated with an Associate of Fine Arts degree in 2000. In the past 20 years, Brugel's work has been seen on both the small and big screen. The most notable was her recognition when she landed her part as Rita in the acclaimed television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the only Canadian part of the cast in the season 1 of the series and only appeared on occasion.
